Dear Morrisonville Elementary Families,
As we welcome the crisp autumn days, we also take a moment to reflect on the importance of fire safety. Today, our school proudly participated in Fire Prevention Day, a vital initiative aimed at educating our students about fire safety and the critical role of our local emergency services.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated members of the Morrisonville Fire Department, Cadyville Fire Department, and Morrisonville EMS for joining us in this important event. Their commitment to our community and their expertise in fire safety made our Fire Prevention Day a resounding success!
Throughout the morning, students engaged in interactive demonstrations, learned about fire safety equipment, and participated in discussions about how to respond in the event of a fire. The fire department teams brought their fire trucks and shared firsthand experiences, which made the learning both fun and impactful. Our students were particularly excited to try on fire helmets, climb onto fire trucks and into an ambulance, and learn how firefighters stay safe while helping others.
We encourage all families to continue discussing fire safety at home and to review your fire escape plans together. Remember, practicing these plans can make a crucial difference in an emergency!
Let’s all keep the spirit of Fire Prevention Day alive by staying informed and prepared. Thank you once again to the Morrisonville Fire Department, Cadyville Fire Department, and Morrisonville EMS for your service and dedication. We look forward to continuing our partnership in keeping our community safe.
